Top 10 Largest Funerals in the World

Some people touch us in an amazing way. When they pass away their funeral becomes a public affair where people who have often only seen them on TV perform a public outpouring of emotion. I may be lucky to have two or three people attend my funeral. Some people have had a few more though. Occasionally around the world there are people whose funeral brings millions of people onto the street to mourn. Here are the biggest ones.

01. Princess Diana

Princess Diana was known as the Princess of the People. The world was shocked by her sudden death and in the UK she turned overnight from an oft ridiculed Princess, into a national heroine. The funeral of Diana was held in London on September 6th 1997. The procession drew an estimated three million mourners, who lined the streets of London to pay homage to their Princess. 09 more after the break...

Finger Art

Elusive Italian artist known only as Dito Von Tease has embarked on a project called Ditology that features eerily familiar portraits of celebrities on the ordinary human finger. The faces produced on each solo finger range from the well-known public personality (Steve Jobs) and political figure (Che Guevara) to the fictional icon (Mr. T) and religious guru (Dalai Lama). There is no person that is off limits in this lighthearted, comical series. Every "person" in the presented portraits is intricately adorned, costumed, and given an appropriate backdrop.20 Images after the break...

Celebrity photos had enough, I suggest drop deeper and see a selection of children's and youth portraits of historical personalities. The list is not just from the photos, because in the era of Marie Antoinette, the photographer was not easy to find. 20 more images after the break...

Top 10 Beautiful Princesses

10. Princess Mary — Denmark

Princess Mary is living proof that fairy tales can come true. A native of Hobart, Tasmania, this elegant 39-year-old was working at an Australian advertising agency in 2000 when she literally bumped into a handsome young man named “Fred” in a crowded Sydney pub. It wasn’t until a half hour later that a friend informed her that “Fred” was in fact Frederik, Crown Prince of Denmark.

The pair fell head over heels in love and were married four years later on May 14, 2004 in a lavish ceremony conducted at Copenhagen Cathedral. Mary has since become a beloved figure in Denmark where, according to a recent poll, 75 % of Danes believe she will make an excellent queen.

Here we take a look at the most successful and the most wealthy college dropouts ever. Who says you need a college education to succeed? these guys and gals prove no one does.

Tiger Woods. In a world where prodigious sports talents tend to forgo higher education altogether for the pros, Tiger Woods chose to continue playing amateur golf at Stanford University as an economics major. Perhaps it was in Econ 101 that he learned the term "opportunity cost," because his time at Stanford was not long. After two years there, Woods turned pro with his "Hello world" announcement, officially ending his collegiate career. He would go on to become one of the highest paid athletes in the world, earning more than $100 million annually at the height of his career. How's that for economics?  09 more after the break...
